As well as supporting The Prince’s Trust, our employees will be running in memory of their colleague Joanne McTaggart, who sadly passed away.
The money raised will be split equally between the two charities, with proceeds for The Prince’s Trust helping disadvantaged young people start their careers and for Ty Owen Palliative Care Unit to support patients and their families.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the Swansea Half Marathon is taking place, and the fourth year our employees are braving the event. The route will start from the iconic Brangwyn Hall, before heading through the city centre, towards Mumbles and thenback towards the finish near to Museum Green.
The employees who have signed up to take part are: Mike Woozley, Jason Nel, Anthony Pompa, Paul McEnery, Rhian Headon, Craig Hopkins, Rhuanydd Clarke, Rob Wilton, Joe Adams, Ozzy Nwanya, Tessa Rees, Stacey Jones, Amy James, Wayne Gourley and Rhys Morgan.
Wayne Gourley, Design, Communications & Marketing, CRM Solutions, Arvato UK & Ireland who is taking part, said: “This will be my third year of running the Swansea Half Marathon, it’s always great event and provides us the opportunity to get together and show our support for local charities.”
This is one of many ways we show our support for The Prince’s Trust. Since becoming a patron in 2014, our employees have taken part in various fundraising and volunteering activities each year. In 2017 we contributed £34,248.15 and directly transformed 73 young people’s lives.
