Arvato’s campaign to drive awareness of the benefits Robotic Process Automation (RPA) can deliver to the public sector has been named the ‘Best Use of Research’ in a PR campaign by the PR Moment Awards.
The business process outsourcing (BPO) partner and its PR agency Citypress, scooped the ‘Best Use of Research’ category at last night’s annual northern awards in Manchester for their integrated marketing and public relations campaign ‘Could a robot save your public services?’
The judges praised the work for its significant business impact, delivering more than 300 new qualified business leads for the company. The research, compiled by iGov Survey, gathered the views of senior decision makers at 118 government organisations across the UK to understand attitudes towards robotics automation and provide a strong business case for implementing the technology across the public sector.
The campaign stemmed from the success of Arvato’s work in implementing RPA at one of its local government clients. Through the programme, the technology was able to automate processes in the council’s revenues and benefits department with 100 per cent accuracy and a significant increase in speed, achieving time savings and cost reductions of up to 80 per cent.

The awards were announced at a ceremony held at The Hilton Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 16th March.
Arvato works with several local authorities across the UK and operates the Government’s first Independent Shared Service Centre at the Department for Transport in Swansea. The business also works with a number of international businesses in the UK and Ireland, including Bosch and Harley Davidson.
