Our team in Swansea has successfully retained three accreditations from the International Organisation for Standardisation and Cyber Essentials for best practice cyber defence and IT service management. These are ISO 27001, ISO 20000 and the Cyber Essentials PLUS badge.
A recent external audit confirmed that the UK government’s Cyber Essentials PLUS badge has been confirmed. The accreditation assesses against the basic security controls linked with many common cyber-attacks on public sector organisations, including secure configuration, malware protection, patch management, access control, boundary firewalls and internet gateways. Holding the Cyber Essentials badge is mandatory for suppliers of Government contracts which involve handling personal information and providing some ICT products and services.
The team also upheld the ISO 27001 information security standard which recognises our efforts to design and implement best practice information security processes to protect both client and citizen data. The audit found that our team in South Wales has maintained an employee culture that values cyber security and that controls are in place which minimise the risk of cyber threats.
In addition, our Swansea IT specialists have also retained ISO 20000. The accreditation shows that our Information Technology Service Management System (ITSM) is in line with the globally recognised standard for IT service management. Our team had to demonstrate that the effective procedures and policies to manage technical incidents, an integrated, consistent approach to the delivery of IT and a dedication to achieving client satisfaction and the continuous improvement of IT services are still being upheld.
Neil Thomas, Head of IT, Arvato UK & Ireland commented: “Retaining the accreditations is an important way to show our clients that we provide the very best cyber security and IT services and support. We have invested significantly in cyber security and IT expertise and experience, to ensure that we are using the most robust, comprehensive processes and cutting edge technologies to mitigate the risk of cyber threats and successfully deliver industry recognised best practice IT service management. Congratulations to the teams!”
