Work delivered across Arvato’s local government partnerships with Slough Borough Council and Sefton Council has been shortlisted for three categories at the National Outsourcing Awards:
- Public Sector Outsourcing Project of the Year – Slough Borough Council and Arvato
Automation Project of the Year – Sefton Metropolitan Council and Arvato
- Outsourcing Works: Award for Delivering Business Value in Outsourcing – Slough Borough Council and Arvato
- Arvato’s partnership with Slough Borough Council has been recognised for its success in delivering efficiency savings, improving service quality for residents by streamlining back-office processes, introducing new technologies and supporting the local community.
Since the beginning of the partnership in 2012, Council Tax and Business Rate revenues have seen a rise of 11.3 per cent, together with significant improvements in call answer rates and the number of customers seen within 30 minutes in the Customer Service Centre. Arvato has also achieved more than 99% of key performance indicators (KPI) across all service areas since the partnership began.
Arvato’s nomination with Sefton Council in the highly competitive ‘Automation Project of the Year’ category follows the successful implementation of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) in the authority’s revenues department.
The pioneering programme, delivered by Arvato in collaboration with Blue Prism, has reduced costs and increased speed and accuracy across a number of repetitive, transactional processes. For example, input times for Council Tax direct debits have been reduced by 80 per cent, helping to free up employees to focus on business critical work.
Debra Maxwell, CEO, CRM Solutions, Arvato UK & Ireland, commented: “It’s rewarding to see the excellent work we deliver in our local government partnerships recognised by the National Outsourcing Association. As well as delivering value for money, our partnerships represent best practise examples of how a collaborative, technology driven approach can enable councils to tackle their current and future challenges.”
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London, taking place on Thursday 10th November. Fingers crossed for the night!
