Diane Turner, Head of Benefits and Julian Rice, Key Account Manager, CRM Solutions, Arvato UK & Ireland will be delivering a seminar about Welfare Reform and the key considerations for the year ahead at the East Midlands Councils Policy Update Conference. The workshop will take place at 11.30am on Friday 23rd September.
The session will discuss how recent welfare reforms have created challenges for both councils and citizens alike, what the next 12 months hold and the key issues that local authorities need to consider to ensure that they are ready to tackle the pressures from future reform.
The conference which will be held at the Melton Borough Council offices, is part of a series of events which combine policy briefings on important national policy issues with specific skills workshops. This is to provide a rounded programme of development to support Councillors from the East Midland region.
Julian commented, “With a new government in place, the EU referendum result announced and the potential for more fiscal challenges ahead, the pace of change in local government shows no sign of slowing down. Our revenues and benefits expertise and the work within our local authority partnerships means that we are well placed to be able to provide insights, advice and support to councils to help them adapt to these changes.”
Arvato holds a number of long-term, successful partnerships with public sector organisations across the UK including Chesterfield Borough Council, Sefton Council and Slough Borough Council.
