Robotics Process Automation (RPA) represents a considerable growth opportunity for Arvato across local government, according to a vendor assessment by analysts NelsonHall.
The report found that the business is set to be an early mover in offering RPA-as-a-service to local authorities following a successful trial of the technology at Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council.
The programme used a combined solution involving Arvato’s back-office transformation expertise and software from automation specialists Blue Prism to automate repetitive processes in the Council’s revenues and benefits department. The results were significant, with the technology delivering transactional processes with 100 per cent accuracy and reducing input times for council tax direct debits by 80 per cent.
The report provides a comprehensive and objective analysis of Arvato’s offerings, capabilities, and market presence in support of business process transformation through the application of RPA and artificial intelligence (AI).
Debra Maxwell, CEO of CRM Solutions, Arvato UK & Ireland, said: “Over the last 12 months, we’ve positioned ourselves as a market leader in deploying RPA in local government and we’re experiencing strong demand from both our current clients and new prospects looking to implement it.”
“Similarly, advances in technology will be central to driving improvements in customer services. AI will be at the forefront of this and by developing solutions that include cognitive systems and voice recognition software, we will be well placed to help organisations revolutionise how they interact with their customers.”
