We have launched our first apprenticeship scheme in Swansea to support local youth employment and provide our South Wales team with fresh, innovative ideas.
Six new apprentices will join our finance, HR, IT and project delivery departments in Swansea, where they will receive formal training, gain valuable experience and learn how we support clients.
Mathew Copp, Director at Arvato’s Swansea site said, “Arvato takes its responsibilities within the local community very seriously and supporting youth employment and training is a key part of this. The apprenticeship scheme is an important initiative for our team in Swansea and we are excited to attract enthusiastic young people with fresh ideas.”
“Our experienced and long standing colleagues are looking forward to passing on their skills and capabilities to young people as they commence their first jobs and grow their careers within Arvato.”
Arvato also provides apprenticeships for young people at its sites in Slough, Chesterfield and Sefton. Our average retention rate for trainees currently stands at 69 per cent, with our promotion rate for those that become permanent also at 69 per cent, well above the national average of 23 per cent.
Developing opportunities for young people and supporting local community initiatives across client partnerships is a key objective for Arvato. In the Swansea area this also includes working closely with The Prince’s Trust to help disadvantaged young people get onto the career ladder, supporting local charity Glantawe Lions City and sponsoring various community initiatives such as the County of Swansea Sports Awards.
