52 employees from across Arvato’s public and private sector partnerships have signed up to participate in Tough Mudder 2016 to raise money for Arvato’s corporate charity, The Prince’s Trust.
Tough Mudder is a team-orientated 10-12 mile obstacle course, which combines over 500,000 litres of mud with 40 tonnes of ice. The event puts camaraderie over finishing rankings, focussing on team work rather than winning.
Employees will be taking part in one of four events, dependent on which is closest to their place of work. These will take place between May to September this year, in either the Midlands, Yorkshire, South West or North West.
Arvato has been a patron of The Prince’s Trust since 2014, supporting through a combination of traditional fundraising and volunteering activities, as well as via apprenticeships, mentoring and training opportunities. In 2015 Arvato donated over £37,000 to the charity.
Debra Maxwell, CEO for CRM & Public Sector, Arvato UK & Ireland commented: “The Prince’s Trust makes a real difference to disadvantaged young people by helping them develop the skills needed to kick-start their careers. Arvato is proud to be a patron to the charity and support its work across the UK. It’s great to see our employees taking such a hands-on approach to fundraising for this worthy cause”
