Employees across Arvato’s four public sector partnerships all took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on the 30th September, to raise money to support people suffering from cancer.
Each of the Slough, Sefton, Swansea and Chesterfield sites got involved in the charity’s initiative, with employees either buying or baking their own buns and cakes. These were then shared on the morning alongside a hot drink, in exchange for donations – which totalled over £660!
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is MacMillan’s biggest annual national fundraising event. Since its inception in 1990 the Coffee Morning has raised over 138 million, with donations helping to ensure that no one faces cancer on their own.
Zoe Kalinowski, Charity Coordinator, CRM Solutions, Arvato UK & Ireland said: “It is great to see so many of our employees getting involved and helping to raise money for such a worthy cause. We strongly believe in giving back to our local communities and collaboratively support a range of charities that are close to our hearts. Thank you to everyone who took part and donated on the day!”
In addition to fundraising for MacMillan Cancer Support, Arvato also works closely with the Prince’s Trust to help disadvantaged young people get onto the career ladder and supports other charities such as Comic Relief, Jeans for Genes and local charity Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
