“If you need any help everyone is so accommodating and really friendly”
I’m really passionate about my family, friends, home and garden. There is nothing I like more than being in the company of my loved ones, I found 2020 quite hard not seeing everyone, we were all communicating through video messaging but it’s not quite the same. I love being in my garden, be that pottering around or sitting soaking up the sun reading a good book. I absolutely love reading, I can devour a book in a couple of days and love all genres, my Kindle was the best gift I ever received…
The managers let you get on with your work and don’t feel the need to micro-manage you, you have a very clear set of responsibilities and an assigned workload. If you need any help everyone is so accommodating and really friendly, everyone is very happy to share their knowledge, which you don’t find in every work place! When we were in the office, the environment was really great and the way that Arvato adapted to us all WFH, providing all the equipment we needed was truly superb.
I’m also really proud to be part of the Big Debate, a group of representatives from across our accounts who meet every two months with our CEO and CHRO, to gain an insight into what’s happening across the business. We also relay our colleagues’ feedback as well as organise focus groups to discuss relevant topics and gauge the opinion of the team. I love the lively debate in these sessions and try and take this back to the account so the team can get a real feel for what is important within Arvato.
I work as part of the Financial Reporting team and it’s a great job that you can just get on with, especially when working from home. I find it very satisfying sorting out any issues that our customers may have, and once I take on a problem I like to see it through to its successful conclusion. I love that I get to speak to both my colleagues and our customers on a daily basis.
When I was much younger I played the clarinet really well and was a member of loads of orchestras and wind bands, and part of this was being invited all over the country to perform in concerts. Mostly, I remember the great fun we had as a group of friends visiting loads of different places and the true love I had for the music we played.
