Our apprentice, Molly Bradbury has won the prestigious ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category at this year’s Chesterfield High Street Awards, which are organised by Destination Chesterfield.

The annual event, which is now in its seventh year, took place virtually on Wednesday 21st October 2020 and aims to showcase the achievements of apprentices across Chesterfield’s high streets. It celebrates both retailers and service businesses that employ apprentices and have a physical presence in the Borough.

Molly who joined Arvato in July 2018, is a Rents Assistant and is currently progressing through her NVQ level 3 apprenticeship, after successfully completing her level 2 qualification in July 2019.

She scooped the award after being recognised for her enthusiasm, confidence and determination while working in the finance environment where she has to provide advice to customers and work colleagues on a regular basis. In a short period of time, Molly has been able to learn her new role to now become a key member of the team for Universal Credit applications and queries – having supported thousands of citizens to complete their applications and ensure they receive the correct payments from the Department for Work and Pensions.

Molly Bradbury, Rents Assistant, Arvato CRM Solutions, said: “I feel very proud to have won this award as it shows the appreciation from my managers and that all my hard work has led to something great!”

Lindsey Phillips, Senior Rent Officer (and Molly’s Manager) at Arvato CRM Solutions commented: “I am so very proud of Molly as she is a huge asset to our department and is so deserving of this award. I have no doubt that Molly will continue to grow and I look forward to supporting and working with her in the future. She is an exceptional member of our team.”

Our apprenticeship programme, which launched in 2012, has supported 181 trainees since it started, with a retention rate of 85% for the 2019/2020 cohort and with 63% of those reaching the end-point assessment stage achieving distinctions. Our dedication to young people has also been recognised at the 2019 Asian Apprentice Awards, where we won ‘Employer of the Year’ and by being shortlisted for four All About School Leaver Awards and an Annual Apprenticeship Conference (AAC) Award in 2020.
