Arvato recognised as a top employer for school leavers for third year in a row

We’ve been named as a finalist for four All About School Leaver Awards, following the success of our apprentices, managers and recruitment programme over another 12 months.

The achievement will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on the 3rd September 2020 and we’ll be up against a range of high profile companies including BT, IBM, Cisco, Bentley Motors and Rolls-Royce. The awards recognise the UK’s best apprenticeships and school leaver programmes, as well as those businesses that excel in areas such as job satisfaction, career progression, training and company culture.

Arvato has been shortlisted for the following four categories:

  • The Diversity & Inclusion Award
  • Top Employer – Medium-sized School Leaver Intake
  • Best Intermediate Apprenticeship
  • Top Employer – IT & Technology

The shortlisting follows the company winning the ‘Employer of the Year – Finance, Legal and Professional Services’ accolade at the 2019 Asian Apprentice Awards in late October and being named as a finalist for the ‘Apprenticeship Diversity’ category at the Annual Apprenticeship Conference (AAC) Awards in March. The judges praised our programme for its commitment towards diversity and inclusion.

Since 2012, we’ve recruited 159 apprentices across a variety of areas within our business, and since launching our Apprenticeship Academy at the beginning of 2019, we’ve supported 23 young people through their apprenticeships and had a 100% retention rate.

Of all the apprentices that have completed training with us, 63% have achieved a distinction grade, which is a testament to the encouragement and dedication of our managers who support the program.

Aleena Khan, an apprentice in Slough commented, “As a first-generation British Pakistani apprentice, I love working in a multi-cultural environment, working with such a diverse workforce has educated me about different cultures, removing barriers and prejudice”.

Sally Neale, HR Director for Arvato CRM Solutions, also said: “Our apprenticeship scheme provides a varied, challenging route into the world of work and it’s great to see young people benefit from the training opportunities we have on offer. Diversity and inclusion are also very important to our business, as we recognise that it’s our differences that make us stronger and give us the tools we need to deliver excellence for our clients. Well done to all of our managers and apprentices whose commitment and enthusiasm has made it possible for us to be recognised for these awards!”
