Arvato demonstrates ongoing commitment to information security

Our Shared Services Centre in Swansea has successfully maintained the ISO27001 accreditation – the international standard for information security processes.

The ISO27001 framework helps organisations to manage and protect information assets so they remain safe and secure.  Organisations on the framework have to demonstrate that they have robust cyber security, technology and processes in place to ensure that citizens’ data is protected.

The certification process is stringent, with a two-stage audit for initial certification with re-certification audits taking place every three years and surveillance audits every six months. The auditors assess if information security is firmly embedded in the organisation, with every individual engaged in processes to support good information security practice.

Claire Winfield, Head of Security, Arvato CRM Solutions, commented: “With high-profile data leaks occurring more frequently, it’s now more vital than ever for public and private sector organisations to put the appropriate measures in place to protect their own, their customers’ and citizens’ sensitive data. Achieving the industry standard is a testament to our ongoing commitment to assuring our current and prospective partners that their information is in safe hands.”

Arvato delivers cyber security and resilience services and consultancy across both the public and private sectors, assisting companies in implementing cyber defence, assurance, compliance, and resilience capabilities, such as Public Services Network compliance.

International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental membership organisation and the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards.
