Our Customer Service Team in Swansea has been named a finalist for the Welsh Business Awards following a successful year acting as the first point of contact for 25,000 civil servants working across the UK.
The awards, which will be announced at a ceremony at City Hall, Cardiff on Thursday 8th March, are supported by the South Wales Chamber of Commerce and aim to recognise the very best from businesses across Wales.
Our 30-strong helpdesk, based at our shared services centre in Swansea, is in the running for the Commitment to Customer Service award after a successful 12 months resolving complex enquiries for employees working for the Department for Transport (DfT) and its family of executive agencies.
The team has achieved a record customer service rating of 97 per cent.
Mathew Copp, Director of Operations Central Government, Arvato UK & Ireland said: “Our shared service centre in Swansea is providing a fully standardised, back office service for the DfT for the first time in its history. This represents a significant milestone for our business and our Customer Service Team has played a vital role in the success we’ve achieved in the last year. This recognition is testament to the fantastic effort and commitment our employees have shown.”
The centre is focused on transforming HR, payroll, finance and procurement services for the DfT, the Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). In September 2017, the DVSA became the final DfT agency to migrate to the centre’s standardised platform.
