We’re exhibiting at the Slough Aspire Careers Event to talk to pupils about our apprenticeship programmes and the career opportunities on offer.

The event, organised by Learning to Work and sponsored by Slough Aspire, will take place at The Refresh Skills Centre on the 7th and 8th February to give Year Nine pupils the chance to meet potential employers, listen to inspirational speakers and gain CV-writing and interview skills. More than 2,000 pupils from local schools across Slough are expected to attend the event over the two days.
A team led by Niki Yates, Early Careers Manager at Arvato, will be on hand at our exhibition stand to talk to attendees about the business and our apprenticeship schemes.
The schemes provide people who are starting out their careers with the opportunity to achieve an NVQ Level 2 qualification in business administration or ICT and gain experience across a range of departments, from finance and procurement to marketing and customer service. Arvato employs around 15 apprentices across its business in Slough, with new positions coming up regularly
In addition to visiting school groups, the event will also be open to the general public from 3:45pm until 6:30pm on 7thFebruary to give those outside full time education the opportunity to meet exhibitors.
Niki said: “We take our responsibilities within the local community very seriously and helping young people on to the career ladder represents a huge part of this. Apprenticeships are an essential route into employment and we’re very proud of the schemes we provide.
“Last year a record number of young people graduated from our joint apprenticeship partnership with Slough Borough Council. I’m really looking forward to meeting our future potential apprentices.”
Arvato has been named a Top 100 Apprenticeship employer by the UK Government.
