Our employees at our Swansea and Willerby sites have been donating and collecting gifts this December to support two local toy appeals, which aim to bring joy to the lives of children in need over the festive period.
The Mr.X appeal, which is now in its 59th year, is a local initiative and Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ is a national scheme that both focus on buying a gift for children who are unlikely to receive presents over Christmas.
The Mr. X team work alongside social services and child support agencies to identify disadvantaged children in need from Neath Port Talbot, Swansea and Carmarthenshire. This is the second year of supporting this initiative. Whereas the Cash for Kids scheme uses the power of its 37 radio brands to deliver initiatives that raise awareness and encourage donations for sick and underprivileged children in UK communities.
Our employees have donated enough presents to give 180 children from the regions a gift.
Zoe Kalinowski, Internal Communications Manager & Charity Coordinator, Arvato UK & Ireland: “I’m very proud that the majority of our employees in both Swansea and Willerby have got involved and generously donated to both appeal. I’ve been overwhelmed by their kindness for this worthwhile cause, which means that many children will now have something to open on Christmas Day.”
