We have been shortlisted in the ‘Stretching Borders’ category at this year’s Prince’s Trust Corporate Employee Awards, following another successful 12 months of supporting the charity.
The award recognises those companies that work with The Prince’s Trust to help disadvantaged young people achieve their ambitions across two or more of their sites.
We’ve helped raise money for the charity over the last year through a number of fundraising and volunteering initiatives across our UK network, raising over £20,000 and positively impacting the lives of 153 young people. This was thanks, in part, to 48 of our employees braving 40 tonnes of ice and mud at Tough Mudder events up and down the county.
The funds that have been raised are being used by The Prince’s Trust to offer free training schemes that help disadvantaged young people learn key skills, boost their employability and gain confidence.
Other companies shortlisted for the award, which will be presented in London on 8th November, include National Express, ASOS Foundation, Gap, L’Oreal Paris and M&S.
Debra Maxwell, CEO of CRM Solutions, UK & Ireland, said: “We’ve worked alongside The Prince’s Trust for a number of years now and it’s a pleasure to be shortlisted for an award that recognises the effort of colleagues across all our sites in the UK.”
“The work the charity does in helping young people build the skills they need to kick-start their careers is invaluable and we’re very proud to support then in achieving this.”
The nomination from the Prince’s Trust comes as we have also received the Payroll Giving Quality Mark for 2017 from the Pennies from Payroll scheme. The accreditation is awarded to organisations that successfully generate income sources through employees donating a small percentage of their salaries each month.
