The success of our Robotics Process Automation (RPA) work with Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council has been recognised by the inaugural Challenge the Future Awards.
The programme, which aims to showcase how leading companies are using automation and technology to disrupt the future of work, will announce the winners on 2nd February 2017 at the Park Plaza, London.
The six month trial, nominated for the ‘Most Promising Pilot’ category, proved that RPA can deliver significant, new efficiencies in a local government back office environment, creating a model that could be replicated in every council across the UK.
Using a combined solution involving our back-office transformation expertise and software from automation specialists Blue Prism, the scheme has successfully automated repetitive processes in the Council’s revenues department, delivering some significant results. To name a few, the technology has delivered transactional processes at 100 per cent accuracy and reduced input times for council tax direct debits by 80 per cent.
Our RPA pilot has been shortlisted alongside three other finalists, which includes entries from IBM and Infosys.
Debra Maxwell, CEO, CRM Solutions, Arvato UK & Ireland commented: “It’s rewarding to see the pioneering work we’re delivering in Sefton recognised against strong competition. With local authorities facing the growing challenge of falling budgets and increased citizen demand, it’s innovative solutions such as RPA that councils will need to introduce if they are to deliver the services that the public will need. Good luck to all of the nominees!”
