arvato appoints UK public sector managing director as it moves into new phase of growth

London, 15th April 2013 – Business process outsourcing (BPO) partner arvato UK & Ireland has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Debra Maxwell as Managing Director for its public sector business. The move follows a period of strong growth for the company which has included securing valuable framework contracts with the UK central government and NHS.

Achim Berg is Chief of arvato AG since beginning of April

Gütersloh, Germany, 2nd April 2013 - Achim Berg, 47, is the new Chief Executive Officer of arvato AG and a member of the Executive Board of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, with effect from the beginning of April. The Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann had announced his appointment last November. A former Microsoft manager, Berg is now in charge of the over 63,000 employees who work for arvato in nearly 40 countries.

arvato acquires established HR shared service centre and secures four-year partnership with East Cheshire NHS Trust

London, 3rd April 2013 – East Cheshire NHS Trust has awarded a four-year, single supplier framework contract to arvato UK & Ireland, which will see the business process outsourcing partner acquire and operate its HR service provider, Cheshire HR Service. The deal will deliver immediate cost savings to the Trust and enable arvato to enhance the centre’s offering and proactively market its services to other public bodies.

London and Liverpool, 15th March 2013 - arvato employees in Liverpool and Twickenham are proud to announce their support for Red Nose Day 2013. On Friday 15th March 2013, Red Nose Day will play host to a spectacular night of TV comedy gold and more than 120 arvato employees will be volunteering to receive donation calls at the company’s bases at Liverpool’s Cunard Building and Twickenham Globe House.

AstraZeneca and arvato extend partnership to launch customer relationship programme for nurses

London, 7th March 2013 – AstraZeneca’s UK Marketing Company, based in Luton, has extended its partnership with arvato UK & Ireland to develop and manage a multi-channel educational and patient support service aimed at practice nurses. The new AZ Exchange programme is designed to build strong relationships with nurses by offering the opportunity to engage in dialogue about AstraZeneca’s medicines and services.
